Atlas - produced by Ed Motta -
Atlas is the last Jazzinho album and was released in 2006. Guida recorded this opus at Fortress Studio in London and asked Brazilian Soul legend Ed Motta to produce.
Besides the usual Jazzinho line up – Nic France, Marcelo Andrade, Matheus Nova, Anselmo Netto – various other musicians landed their talent: Hamish Stuart from Average White Band fame, Graham Harvey from Incognito, Max Middleton from the Jeff Beck Band, the Basquiat Strings and Dudu Marques from Saravah Soul.
Entirely recorded on vintage recording gear and with original seventies instrument this album sound as natural as can be. Not surprisingly The Times, Blues & Soul and JazzWise, all British institutions, gave this album 4 out of 5 star.
Nicola Conte made a rework of one the tracks and is available as 12” vinyl.
This album is distributed by Freestyle Records world wide, by Universal in Portugal and by Rip Curl in Japan. The CD is available via the main online stores and on all good digital platforms including iTunes.
Jazzinho - Debut album.
Recorded in 2003, Jazzinho is the eponymous name of Jazzinho first ever release on now defunct Austrian label ecco.chamber. This album is still selling worldwide, mainly in the USA via StreetBeat and in Japan through Rip Curl.
Guida de Palma’s debut album had songs produced by Michele Chiavarini, Neil Angilley and Chris Franck from Da Lata and Smoke City.
Many remixers were involved in this project:
- Kyoto Jazz Massive via Hajime Yoshizawa
All these remixes are available on 12” vinyl as is the entire album.
